What's happening at Rosie's? Renovation of Carmel Valley's historic Rosie's Cracker Barrel is underway! The first of the three buildings has been largely disassembled, catalogued and stored away so that the building foundation and infrastructure can be rebuilt. Material will be re-used whenever possible, so the old valley charm and character of the site can be rekindled. Site septic capacity has been modernized and expanded. Refurbished faux gas pumps are waiting to be installed. Rosie's is poised to soon rejoin the community.

Renovation of the signature "Cracker Barrel" building will begin in early 2007. The front portion of this building requires extensive work, due to the 2005 auto crash and the general toll the years have taken on it. The Quonset hut annex will be refurbished as part of this phase of the project.

The third building, the small cottage in the rear of the property that served as William Henry's (i.e., "Rosie") residence, will also be renovated in 2007.
