Welcome to Rosie's
Open Mic Every Thursday 7-9 PM
Bringing the Valley's Artistic Community Together
Wow - is all I can say! Our first Open Mic last week was amazing. Really, we had some awesome performers that pretty much shocked me. I can't wait until Thursdays, that's all I can say. Get your talent out and dust it off and come and share. Open Mic every Thursday from 7-9 PM at Plaza Linda in the Courtyard Patio. Don't miss the fun.
All you gotta do is get there at 7 PM and sign up, we'll draw names from a hat, I'll introduce you and you share for 3-4 minutes of your talent. Please note the time - again - 3-4 minutes to share. For those of you musically challenged, I have a guitar book full of songs if you want me to play while you sing, it'll be like Live Karoke. Just come and have fun, that's what its all about.
Thank you - so much! So many of you have written and expressed your concern and great support and I appreciate that so much. I wish the County could hear YOUR side of it. Seems several neighbors on surrounding sides didn't want us to take off. I felt we were on the launching pad too. But I am ever so grateful for the people I've met, and the conversations we've had. I feel great gratitude to the Owners who had a vision of Rosie's, which included me, and I hope that somehow, that vision comes to fruition and that all that labor was not in vane.
Because County decisions can take months, we found another location to serve our delicious wines because life is about carrying on and working through (if you can) or around obstacles. Thanks to Plaza Linda we are able to have our tastings conducted there - and it is an unbelievably refreshing space. I like it at dusk when you see the first stars and the breeze is easy on the skin. It's romantic and I like that feeling. You really should come and feel it too.
Summer Concert Line-Up
This Saturday night is Jazz Guitarist, Storm Nilson, and here's the line-up for June's Saturday Night Concerts: June 6th - Loveless Estates & Chris Day (great acoustic upbeat duo); June 13th - yours truly, Kiki Wow & Friends; June 20th all the way from Nashville is Rebecca Sayre (country jazz flavored singer/songwriter); and on June 27th is the incredible Kiki Ebsen (her CD stays in my player).
Come and show your support for these events being held in Carmel Valley. Keeping it safe here in the valley so you don't have to drive in town for the good stuff. Bringin' the good stuff to you.

Singles Socials on Sundays
Curious about other singles in the valley but you don't want to be a computer ad or online dater? Just stop by the courtyard from 3-5 PM on Sunday for a look/see of singles in the neighborhood that are available for the possibility of anything from a friendship to courting.
H'ordeurves are on the house so come by for a delicious glass of wine or cold beer and enjoy the patio setting, under the sun, maybe with someone whose company you enjoy! Remember: In order to enjoy Life - You must show up.

Music Under The Stars Featuring Rebecca Sayre
A big gigantic THANK YOU to the MC Weekly and The Pine Cone for their great articles about the Music Concert Series. I do appreciate their help in letting many of you know what's going on in CV. Speaking of that: This Saturday night is country jazz singer/songwriter Rebecca Sayre. She's beautiful, her guitar is beautiful, her voice, music is beautiful. You will be beautified by attending Sat. night from 7-9 PM I assure you.
Next Saturday night, June 27th is the incredible Kiki Ebsen (her CD stays in my player). She's a horse ridin' lady herself. People, I'm tellin' ya, be sure to RSVP for seats, the word is out about these fabulous summer concerts in the Valley.

The Carmel Valley Trivia Master Challenges YOU!
Our friend and photographer, Bob McLaren, will be hosting a Trivia Night at Plaza Linda. It's something he does on Tuesday nights at the Mucky Duck and I thought it sounds like fun to sit around and learn something you didn't know and share something you do know!
Trivia Night is this Friday, June 19th at 7PM so come and join the fun. It's $1 to play and winning team takes the kitty. Meow.

Ladies' Clothing Swap? Next Wednesday!
What a blast. Can I just tell you I got at least four awesome jackets for stage and casual wear, a purse for my mom and one for me. Leather shoes. I was so excited to see my stuff go to the new owners. Thanks to Laurie and Holly's help, they know how to make everything better. Just bring your clean tradeables to the PL Courtyard. We'll have dressing rooms and mirrors. Accessories, such as shoes, purses, jewelry are welcome too. OK so I brought more than 10 items but now we're ready for everyone in every size.
Next Wed., June 24th from 6-8 PM. It's $5 to get in, you get a ticket per clothing item you bring (up to 10). Don't come too late. This was more fun than I ever expected!

Salsa Dancin' -- No Kidding! Starting Tuesday the 16th
Our wonderful friend Holly from Resale Emporium (I love her shop on Center St.) will be teaching salsa lessons for free at Plaza Linda Courtyard on Tuesday nights starting the 16th from 6:30 to 8:30. I'm planning on learning the basics because my wiggle has turned to a waggle and I need to fix that.
If you need to fix that too, come on by and loosen up a bit. I'm sure it will be fun and better than anything on TV or your computer.
